via Daily Prompt: Sludge

Sludge appears in many forms today and is a very appropriate description for what the mainstream news media produce on a daily basis in America. Stories that have no basis in fact supported by un-named sources and further ‘supported’ by opinion spewing talking heads.

Sludge in entertainment, in my opinion any so-called reality TV show whereby none of these shows have any actual basis in reality or any entertainment value. Examples that come to mind are the Kardashians or even the super popular Survivor.

Sludge slinging in each and every political election from Federal, State or local candidates. Difficult to make a good decision when every candidate is screaming and accusing his opponent of wrong doing.

Sludge, a descriptive word with many meanings and uses.

In that order and no deviation is acceptable. My opinions are my own and unlike the snowflakes in American society who cannot stand to listen to views contrary to their own I welcome CIVIL comments and points of view even if they differ from my perspective.
